Cookies
This website uses cookies. Cookies are text files which are stored on your computer via an Internet browser. Cookies do not damage your computer, they cannot execute programs or spread viruses on your computer.
Information and offers on our website can be optimised to suit your interests through the use of a cookie. Cookies enable the hostettler group to recognise returning website visitors. The purpose of this identification is to make it easier for you to use our website and to provide more user-friendly services that would not be possible without the use of cookies.
The cookies we use only store anonymised data. When the cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number. Your personal data is not assigned to this identification number. Your name, your IP address or other data which would allow a direct attribution of the cookie to you, are not stored in the cookie.
We use temporary cookies. These are automatically deleted when you log out or close the browser. These include in particular the session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, which can be used to assign various requests from your browser to the web session. This allows your computer to be recognised when you return to the website.
Furthermore, we use persistent cookies, which are used on your computer beyond the specific user session. When you visit us again, we can automatically recognise that you have already visited the site and which entries and settings you prefer. These cookies are stored on your hard disk and delete themselves after the specified time. Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, to display information on the site that is specifically tailored to your interests.
You can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by changing the settings of your Internet browser and thus permanently prevent the use of cookies. Furthermore, you can delete cookies that have already been placed at any time from your Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all standard Internet browsers. If you deactivate the use of cookies on your Internet browser, it might result in some functions of our website not being fully usable.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, or Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), based on our legitimate interests. We have signed a corresponding contract with Google for the processing of commissioned data.
Google is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Agreements and thus offers a guarantee of compliance with EU and Swiss data protection laws. Further information on this topic can be found here.
Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in Ireland or the USA and stored there.
Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.
We only use Google Analytics with the anonymisation of IP addresses activated. This ensures that your IP address is shortened by Google within the EU, the EEA or Switzerland before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other Google data.
You can prevent the collection of the data generated by cookies and related to your website usage (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing this browser add-on. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent future collection of your information when you visit our website. However, we advise you that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
By using this website, you consent to the processing of data concerning you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above (see the terms of use for Google Analytics).
Online inquiries
You can contact us by e-mail via our website. The contact form shows which data is collected in the process. In the case of unformatted e-mails, we collect the data that you provide us with. Your data will be processed for the purpose of handling and processing your request.
The required information is necessary to process your request. The voluntary provision of further data facilitates the processing of your inquiry and enables us to provide you with the requested information.
Your consent, which is expressed via your inquiry, is the basis for the processing of your personal data by us. If the purpose of the contact is the fulfilment of a contract to which you are party or the implementation of pre-contractual measures, this constitutes an additional basis for the processing of your personal data.
The personal data transmitted by you will not be linked with other data.
You can revoke consent to this data processing at any time. Please send your revocation request to the following e-mail address: privacy@hostettler.com. Your request for information will not be processed further.
Your personal data from the contact e-mail will be deleted as soon as the request you have made is completed. This will be the case if the circumstances indicate that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and there are no legal obligations to preserve records that would prevent deletion.
Online applications
The hostettler group collects and processes the personal data of job applicants for the purpose of handling the application process.
The basis for processing personal applicant data is your consent, which is expressed in the application.
Processing can also be done electronically. This is particularly the case if an applicant sends the relevant application documents to the hostettler group electronically by email or using the web form published on our website. The applicant data in fields marked as mandatory on the web form is required in order to assign the application, contact the applicant and check the application’s chances of success.
In addition to personal information and details of the applicant’s education, work experience and skills, the processed data includes the usual correspondence data such as postal address, email address and telephone number. In addition, all documents you submit in connection with the application, such as a letter of motivation, curriculum vitae, certificates and reference information, are also processed. In addition, applicants can send us additional information voluntarily.
This data is only saved, evaluated, processed or forwarded internally as part of the application process. This data can also be processed for statistical purposes (e.g. reporting). In this case, no inferences can be drawn about individual persons.
If the hostettler group enters into an employment contract with an applicant, the data transmitted will be stored for the purpose of managing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions.
If the hostettler group does not enter into an employment contract with the applicant, the application documents will be automatically deleted two months after the announcement of the rejection decision, unless you have given us your consent to use your information for further application procedures and, if necessary, to contact you again. You may revoke this consent at any time. You can send your revocation to the e-mail address privacy@hostettler.com or to the e-mail address specified in the job advertisement.
Applicant data is stored separately from any other data that may be available about the person concerned and is not merged with this data.
You can object to this data processing at any time, withdraw your application and request that your electronic data be deleted. Please send your objection to the person named as the contact person in the job advertisement or to the email address: privacy@hostettler.com.
Disclosure of personal data
We treat your personal data as strictly confidential and only pass it on if you have expressly agreed to this, if we are legally obliged or entitled to do so (e.g. in the context of order data processing) or if this is necessary to safeguard our rights. In addition, we pass on your personal data to third parties, insofar as this is necessary or appropriate in the context of the use of the website or for the provision of the services requested by you.
We disclose your personal data to the following categories of recipients:
- Companies of the hostettler group
- Yamaha Motor Europe and its local distribution organization (if applicable to you)
The legal regulations for the transfer of personal data to third parties are observed at all times.
If we use contractors to provide our services, we take appropriate legal precautions and technical and organizational measures to ensure the protection of your personal data in accordance with the relevant legal regulations. If the level of data protection in a country in which the data is processed does not meet the requirements of Swiss or EU data protection law, we contractually ensure that the protection of your personal data at the data processor concerned nevertheless reaches the required level.
Duration of storage
Unless expressly stated in this data protection declaration, we only process and store your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations or otherwise for the purposes pursued with the processing, as well as in accordance with statutory retention periods. As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes or a prescribed retention period expires, your personal data will be deleted and blocked to the greatest extent possible.
In addition, we will delete your personal data if you request this by email to privacy@hostettler.com or by sending a message to our data protection officer (see Contacts), and we have no legal or contractual retention obligation or any other obligation with regard to this data.
Data security
We take technical and organisational security precautions to protect your personal data against manipulation, loss, destruction or against access by unauthorised persons.
Our security measures also include the encryption of your personal data. All information that you enter online is transmitted via an encrypted transmission path. This means that this information cannot be viewed by unauthorised third parties at any time.
Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
Our employees and the service providers commissioned by us are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with data protection regulations. Furthermore, access to your personal data is only granted to the extent necessary.
