Attractions on motorcycles, bikes and even scooters
The hoschidays programme was packed with diverse attractions tailored to the hostettler group’s business areas. One of the highlights was the Drop and Roll Show by Scotsman Danny MacAskill and his teammates, who performed incredible stunts and tricks on their bikes. Another highlight was the Freestyle Motocross Show (FMX), in which top international athletes performed tricks such as whips and backflips on their motocross machines. Jeremy Rouanet also made his debut in Sursee, performing a backflip on a standard Yamaha Ténéré 700 motorcycle. Nicola L’Impennatore also used the show stage at hoschidays for the first time, presenting some impressive stunts on his Vespas. Mat Rebeaud, a Swiss rider, was particularly impressive with his electric motocross bike. The Circus Trial Tour by Italian duo Samuele Zuccali and Manuel Copetti thrilled spectators with their acrobatic motorcycle trial displays. The Mountain Bike Show by the Swiss Flying Metal Crew and the BMX Flatland Show by German social media star Chris Böhm also amazed the audience.
Special Guests from the world of motorcycle racing
Other guests at the hoschidays included prominent personalities from the worlds of motorcycling and skiing. Dominique Aegerter, a Swiss rider in the Yamaha World Superbike Team, attracted large crowds of fans to his autograph sessions, as did Sandro Cortese, the former FIM Supersport World Champion from Germany. Swiss ski racer Michelle Gisin and her Italian partner Luca De Aliprandini, who is also a ski racer, were delighted with the great response from the public.
Product and brand worlds
There were also many other attractions for the hoschidays audience to discover, try out and enjoy. Visitors took the opportunity to obtain product information and to ask questions from specialists at hostettler ag, hostettler moto ag, iXS ag, intercycle ag, Parts World AG, motoactive ag, hostettler autotechnik ag, as well as from their suppliers. Many interested visitors took the opportunity to test ride the current range of Yamaha models and various bike models from hostettler’s own BIXS brand. Next door, visitors could test fly DJI camera drones and receive expert advice.
Other attractions and offers
Entertainment for younger visitors was provided by a Kids’ Zone with a mini cross park, Stacyc electric balance bikes, a bicycle pump track, a game zone, a bouncy castle and face painting. A large Food Court offered visitors a wide selection of sweet and savoury regional and international.
Partners and sponsors of the hostettler group
In addition to the hostettler group’s exhibitors, various partner organisations and sponsors provided information about their products and services. Motorcycling associations Swiss Moto, SAM and IG Motorrad Schweiz, and the tour operator motorradreisen.ch, drew attention to their commitment to and services for motorcyclists and scooter riders. In the bike sector, organisations such as MS Sports, Kids Bike Camps, BikeGenoss Zentralschweiz, Wheelpark Sarnen and the Lucerne Mountain Bike Association were present, all of which support the interests and concerns of bikers. Sponsor Tissot, a Swiss watch brand, showcased its motorbike racing-inspired collection, while Monster handed out energy drinks and made a prominent appearance at the Trial Show.
Conclusion
The hostettler group welcomed around 20,000 visitors to its two-day hoschidays event, which featured exciting shows, high-calibre guests and a varied programme. The audience was very impressed by the programme and will fondly remember this exciting and entertaining weekend. The event’s success underlines the hostettler group’s commitment to providing unforgettable experiences for its customers and interested parties in its various business areas. This year’s hoschidays once again provided a meeting place for motorcycle and bicycle enthusiasts.
