The third edition of the Hoschi Days event took place over the weekend of Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2024 at the Headquarters of the hostettler group in Sursee. The event, organized by the family-owned wholesale and retail organization, catered to a diverse audience including hardcore motorcyclists, mountain bike enthusiasts and families. With many attractions and celebrities, Hoschi Days was an exciting and memorable experience for close to 15,000 visitors.
hostettler group names Christophe Miravalls as new CCO
The hostettler group has created the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), for which it has secured the services of Christophe Miravalls – previously Commercial Director at France’s 2Ride Group – with effect from 18 March 2024.
Tobias Graf new Managing Director of hostettler moto ag
As part of the hostettler group in Switzerland, hostettler moto ag, based in Sursee (Lucerne), and its eight subsidiaries focus on the motorcycle retail business. A change in management has now taken place.
New hostettler moto ag branch in Zurich North
As part of his succession plan, owner Emil Weber is handing over the site of the Emil Weber Motos AG motorcycle store in Rümlang (ZH) to hostettler moto ag based in Sursee (LU) – with effect from 1 January 2024. Emil Weber remains the lessor of the shop. All employees will continue to be employed. Under the name “hostettler moto ag | Zürich Nord”, the business in Rümlang joins the hostettler moto ag branch network as its eighth location.
Customer event Hoschi Days 2023 – over 10,000 visitors
On the weekend of 3 and 4 June 2023, the “Hoschi Days” took place in Sursee (Switzerland) for the second time. At this customer event, the hostettler group trading company presented various top brands from the fields of individual mobility and leisure. An action-packed motorcycle and bike show programme as well as the numerous star guests delighted the mixed audience.
Yamaha’s electric bikes start selling in Switzerland
In March 2022, under the motto “Switch ON” Yamaha announced its plans to enter the electromobility segment through its own products. Following the launch of the first electric scooter in April 2022, Yamaha will offer three models of e-Bikes for sale in Switzerland from May 2023.
Foundation of the company iXS ag
For decades, the iXS brand has stood for highly functional protective clothing for motorcyclists and cycling enthusiasts. As of 1.1.2023, the iXS brand was spun off from hostettler ag and has since been operating as the independent company iXS ag.
iXS wins Design & Innovation Award 2023
After the awards in 2019 (1x) 2020 (2x) 2021 (1x), the jury honours three bike products from iXS with the Design & Innovation Award.
Renaming of Freidig Moto-Actve gmbh to motoactive gmbh
From 1 September 2022, Freidig Moto-Active GmbH, a leading supplier for the specialised motorcycle trade in Switzerland, will be doing business under its new name, motoactive gmbh. After the acquisition by the hostettler group in 2019 the wholesale company has evolved. motoactive will be present in the market under the management of Hans Felder with an attractive brand portfolio and a sharpened product range.
Hoschi Days 2022 – a great success for the moto and bike event
The hostettler group’s “Hoschi Days” on 21 and 22 May in Sursee offered visitors a great deal of action, entertainment and fun, with the presence of prestigious guests from international motorcycle racing and other big names in FMX, Trials and Bike. Around 8,500 people of all ages enjoyed a varied programme!
Sven Mack is the new CEO of hostettler gmbh
hostettler gmbh, which is part of the Swiss hostettler group and has its headquarters in Müllheim (Germany), specialises in the distribution of a comprehensive range of products for the European motorcycle and scooter trade. There has now been a change in the management of hostettler gmbh.
BiXS Performance Race Team
With «Mission 25», the new BiXS Performance Race Team starts the 2022 racing season with the aim of achieving national and international racing success. The team is already focusing on a successful participation in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in the canton of Valais, Switzerland.
