Retroactively effective 1 January 2019, hostettler group is taking over Parts World AG located in Lohn-Ammannsegg (Solothurn). With this merger, hostettler group is strengthening its capabilities in integrated cross-channel retailing and expands its availability of premium brands.
hostettler group has acquired Parts World AG to strengthen both their digital sales and boost the stationary retailers in Switzerland. The new partner Parts World brings its state-of-the-art online shop and strong premium brands to the table, while hostettler group with its extensive network of trading partners, broad product range and comprehensive logistics enhances the general availability of products for the customers, which ultimately benefits everyone. According to Peter Hostettler, co-owner of hostettler group, «The consumer’s expectations are rising and at the same time, the market competitive pressure intensifies. Online sales to enhance stationary retail
The companies are jointly establishing the basis to offer a seamless shopping experience to customers with refined cross-channel retailing and strengthen the motorcycle specialist dealers in Switzerland. Parts World AG will remain at the Lohn-Ammannsegg location and continues to act as an independent company in the market with a competent team of employees. Both parties have agreed to remain silent about the purchase price.
Parts World AG, headquartered in Lohn-Ammannsegg (Canton Solothurn), was founded in 1997 and sells motorcycle accessories and clothing. The company employs a staff of nine and is the official importer in Switzerland for renowned brands, such as Akrapovic, Airoh, DEI, Fehling, Five Gloves, Grey Sheep, Kellermann, Kineo, Müller, Performance Machine, Rizoma, Roland Sands Design and Zard. In addition, Parts World distributes Motorex lubricants and on an exclusive basis Öhlins products for Harley Davidson motorcycles.
