Swiss racer Tom Lüthi, third in the 2019 Moto2 World Championship, is now starting with a new equipment supplier: The Kalex rider from the Liqui Moly Intact GP Team relies on leather suits from the Swiss motorcycle clothing specialist iXS.
The new partnership between Tom Lüthi and hostettler ag’s own brand iXS goes beyond classic sponsorship and is intended to help Lüthi continue his successful career. This has so far brought the top athlete 17 GP victories, 64 podium places and the 125cc World Championship title in 2005.
Both parties should benefit from this cooperation. iXS has started an intensive research and development project in continuous close cooperation with Tom Lüthi. The result of this collaboration should give the 33-year-old Swiss talent advantages in his racing activities. At the same time, the developments will also be incorporated into the iXS clothing designed for road use – whether in an optimised fit or an increased level of safety.
“With his determined, down-to-earth manner, Tom is an extremely authentic ambassador of the iXS brand,” says co-owner Peter Hostettler, who is delighted with the new partnership, which is based on shared values – constant striving for precision, quality and technological progress.
Lüthi and the hostettler group have also been in close contact for many years via helmet manufacturer SHOEI, which supports Tom Lüthi and is imported to Switzerland by hostettler ag as well. A further relationship exists via the hostettler subsidiary Parts World AG. It distributes the FIVE ADVANCED GLOVES glove brand, also a supplier to Tom. The successful cooperation is now being extended to include rider clothing.
