Markus Abegglen, who has led the hostettler group’s Tyre Service Division for over twenty years, retired at the end of January 2026. As managing director of the Tyre Service since 2003, he has had a decisive influence on the company’s tyre business. After 23 years, he is now handing over the reins to Marcel Stocker, the managing director of hostettler autotechnik ag.

hostettler ag joins forces: merger with motoactive and Parts World
As of January 2026, motoactive gmbh and Parts World AG, both part of the hostettler group, have merged with hostettler ag in Sursee. The two companies have been fully integrated into the Motochic division, which is responsible for motorcycle equipment, accessories, and tyres. The merger aims to strengthen customer focus, pool expertise and exploit synergies. Most of the former Sumiswald and Lohn-Ammannsegg employees now work in Sursee. Business partners can rest assured that little will change – they will continue to receive support from familiar contact persons.
hoschidays 2025: adrenaline, emotion and fun
The fourth hoschidays took place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May 2025 at the hostettler group’s headquarters in Sursee (Lucerne). The event, organised by the family-owned wholesale and retail organisation, was aimed at a diverse audience, including motorsport and action sports fans, as well as cycling enthusiasts and families. With a host of attractions and celebrity guests, hoschidays proved to be an exciting and unforgettable experience for the 20,000-strong crowd.

hostettler group, the Swiss trading company active in the motorcycle and bicycle industry, is reorganising the management of its three German subsidiaries with effect from 1 February 2025.
Hoschi Days 2024: adrenaline, emotion and fun
The third edition of the Hoschi Days event took place over the weekend of Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2024 at the Headquarters of the hostettler group in Sursee. The event, organized by the family-owned wholesale and retail organization, catered to a diverse audience including hardcore motorcyclists, mountain bike enthusiasts and families. With many attractions and celebrities, Hoschi Days was an exciting and memorable experience for close to 15,000 visitors.
hostettler group names Christophe Miravalls as new CCO
The hostettler group has created the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), for which it has secured the services of Christophe Miravalls – previously Commercial Director at France’s 2Ride Group – with effect from 18 March 2024.
Tobias Graf new Managing Director of hostettler moto ag
As part of the hostettler group in Switzerland, hostettler moto ag, based in Sursee (Lucerne), and its eight subsidiaries focus on the motorcycle retail business. A change in management has now taken place.
New hostettler moto ag branch in Zurich North
As part of his succession plan, owner Emil Weber is handing over the site of the Emil Weber Motos AG motorcycle store in Rümlang (ZH) to hostettler moto ag based in Sursee (LU) – with effect from 1 January 2024. Emil Weber remains the lessor of the shop. All employees will continue to be employed. Under the name “hostettler moto ag | Zürich Nord”, the business in Rümlang joins the hostettler moto ag branch network as its eighth location.
Customer event Hoschi Days 2023 – over 10,000 visitors
On the weekend of 3 and 4 June 2023, the “Hoschi Days” took place in Sursee (Switzerland) for the second time. At this customer event, the hostettler group trading company presented various top brands from the fields of individual mobility and leisure. An action-packed motorcycle and bike show programme as well as the numerous star guests delighted the mixed audience.
Yamaha’s electric bikes start selling in Switzerland
In March 2022, under the motto “Switch ON” Yamaha announced its plans to enter the electromobility segment through its own products. Following the launch of the first electric scooter in April 2022, Yamaha will offer three models of e-Bikes for sale in Switzerland from May 2023.
Foundation of the company iXS ag
For decades, the iXS brand has stood for highly functional protective clothing for motorcyclists and cycling enthusiasts. As of 1.1.2023, the iXS brand was spun off from hostettler ag and has since been operating as the independent company iXS ag.
iXS wins Design & Innovation Award 2023
After the awards in 2019 (1x) 2020 (2x) 2021 (1x), the jury honours three bike products from iXS with the Design & Innovation Award.
